Mithun Ajekar joins Astik as Director - Strategic Planning. He had done his B.E. (Chemical) from Mumbai University and MBA from U.S.A. Post his MBA and prior to joining Astik he worked as a Strategic Analytics Manager with Wells Fargo in the US.

Signs historic agreement with Nippon Kayaku Co. Ltd. (Japan) as a strategic marketing partner for India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Nippon Kayaku is one of the largest specialty dyestuff companies with a presence since 100 years.

April 2011

Nippon Kayaku Co. Ltd. Kayacion CF-COM Series, part of COMET system of dyes is launched. This series has a special focus on “Reproducibility” and is particularly recommended for tough shades. Customers are provided with a free (COMET) software which helps in predicting recipes under varying shade% and liquor ratios Launched Nippon Kayaku dyes for Automotive sector a key product category and used in brands such as Honda, Toyota, Nissan etc.

Completed first phase for expansion by doubling Tarapur unit production to 3000 MT/ yr. In second phase Ankleshwar unit production to be tripled to 7500 mt/ year.
